“Kabob Bayrami” to take place in Tashkent region

A championship “Kabob Bayrami” (Feast of Kebab) will be held in Bustonliq district of Tashkent region on 13 April.

The event was organized by the Association of Chefs of Uzbekistan. According to the head of the Chefs Association of Uzbekistan Akbar Umarov, “Kabob Bayrami” will be attended by the representatives of restaurant and hotel industry, as well as the students of professional colleges and institutions.

This year’s culinary championships will include master classes, which are very important as shown by the preliminary survey. Show of culinary masters, in which cooks of different restaurants compete for the title of “Chef of the Year”, will also be held for the first time in the championship in Uzbekistan.

Beginners and practicing chefs will be able to be in communication with famous culinary professionals, improve their skills and to submit their culinary masterpieces to the public.

According to the championship program, 15 teams each consisting of three people will take part in the competition. All participants of the competition will have a place where they can put a restaurant booth, brazier and table for food preparation.

Championship participants will be evaluated by an independent jury, consisting of specially invited professionals, chefs of Uzbekistan and experts of the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS).

All winners will be awarded with diplomas and medals of the championship. The best recipes will be included in the book “Kabob” prepared by the Chefs Association of Uzbekistan in order to promote Uzbek cuisine in the world.
